May’s SUV sales results are dominated by C-segment crossovers, as they have been for the last several years. That trend shows no signs of abating, and the usual top five are present and accounted for, although a few have swapped places on the sales chart. The Toyota RAV4 once again takes the podium. However, the Honda CR-V cedes Second Place to the Ford Escape this month. Further down the list, the best-selling Jeep for the month was the Wrangler, bucking the trend of the Cherokee being the brand’s best-selling model for most of the year so far.

In terms of the SUV sales trend, five models were up for the month, and five were down, reflecting the overall mixed picture for auto sales industry-wide.
