SEMA 2015: A Gallery Of Some Of The Greatest Classic Trucks

The secret is out.

Classic trucks are rising fast in the enthusiast automotive world. Maybe it’s not a secret, because we’ve all know it for years. The automotive aftermarket is chasing the classic truck market like a lions chasing a gazelle.

If you want proof, get out here to Las Vegas and join us at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show at the Convention Center. Every corner of the gearhead world is represented here, and classic trucks might not be the biggest niche, but it is one of the fastest growing. As we’re already reported, TMI Products cleared the performance car out of their booth this year, so they could fill their area with trucks.

Who’s next? Several other manufacturers that make parts that aren’t truck-specific are using classic trucks to display those parts. Why? Because they want to draw a crowd, and from what we’re seeing, rolling out a classic truck is a great way to do that.

For Classic Trucks photographers, that’s great news. It makes our job easy. We can come to the SEMA Show and get photos of the latest and greatest custom pickups to show you. But there’s a down side too. Those crowds we were telling you about make our easy job difficult. Every single photo here was snapped only after waiting patiently for the lions to back off from the gazelle.
