When asked to write about the passing of a friend, it's hard to know where to start since most words seem lacking and insufficient. On June 13th the automotive industry lost a key figure when Craig Morrison, of Art Morrison Enterprises (AME), passed due to complications from COVID-19. Craig was only 46 years old and leaves behind a wife, a 12-year-old son, and a very close-knit family.

But he also leaves behind all of us that knew him. He was a car guy who loved our hobby, hot rodding, and working to grow AME. Back in the day, he ran a '55 Chevy in NHRA Super Gas and would have been a gear head even if he wasn't running AME with his dad Art. But, to me, he was so much more. He loved the outdoors. Everything from primitive camping to shooting, fishing, and off-roading in his Jeep. He loved his family deeply and was a true people-person with a great sense of humor and a personality that just made you want to hang around with him. On a personal note, he reminded us that while work is important, it's also important to take the time to live life and see the world, which he did on an epic scale. Craig was the guy we should all aspire to be, and he will be missed on a level that's hard to explain.

Hot Rod would like to send our condolences to the Morrison family on their loss and let them know they are in our thoughts. Rest easy, Craig, you will be missed.
