All the legal street racing action goes down August 14, 2021, on historic Woodward Avenue.

If you thought August was going to be good with HOT ROD Power Tour coming back, we're making it even better: MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge is coming back for its sixth year of legal eighth-mile drag racing down historic Woodward Avenue in Pontiac, Michigan. Mark the date in the calendar kids, August 14, 2021, will be here before you know it!

Roadkill Nights kicks off Motor City's weeklong celebration of American car culture with legal street racing and a whole lot more, including drifting and speed exhibitions, a car show, and plenty of family-friendly entertainment. Of course, David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Roadkill will be there, expanding upon "Automotive Chaos Theory." We're even bringing Eric Malone from Fastest Cars in the Dirty South to join in the fun!

Roadkill Nights isn't just about being able to legally drag race your car down Woodward Avenue, even though that could be worth the whole trip. Dodge is proud to bring back drift and thrill rides in Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats at the M1 Concourse skid pad and race track.

Research

You can't have legal street racing without a car show, either. Naturally, metro Detroit's finest classic cars, hot rods, and muscle cars of all eras will be on display at M1 Concourse. What makes ogling cars even better? Food! You can bet there will be an amazing selection of local food vendors showing off their talents, as well.

We're adding to the action for 2021 with a new event; Eric Malone is going to battle it out in a TV-versus-the-internet grudge match against popular social media influencers, all piloting their own modified Hellcats, courtesy of Dodge. Does the internet have what it takes to bring down one of the Dirty South's greatest grudge racers?

"After a COVID-19 hiatus in 2020, we are proud to partner with Dodge and bring back for our fans Roadkill Nights," said Eric Schwab, MotorTrend Group's Group SVP, Head of Revenue and Partnerships. "If you've ever dreamed of watching street-legal drag racing down Woodward Avenue, come to our event! We have Dodge thrill rides, a car show and street-legal drag racing. It's going to be an absolutely epic day for anyone with a passion for cars!"
