If you're going to get a family SUV, you might as well get one with a surefire way to occupy the kids on long drives. Rear entertainment systems get the job done, allowing passengers in the back to play movies on screens mounted into the front headrests or on the ceiling of the vehicle. You don't even need to buy a luxury car to enjoy this feature. Check out our list of cool family SUVs with TVs, followed by the starting price of each vehicle (excluding options).

2020 Acura MDX - $45,395

The Acura MDX is a well-rounded three-row SUV. It boasts a fair price tag, and it also benefits from plenty of standard features and agile handling for its size. Opt for the A-Spec model if you want a sportier look, and the $2,000 Entertainment package if you want to keep the kids entertained with a 16.2-inch-wide screen in the back. The Entertainment package must be optioned together with the Technology or Advance packages.

2020 BMW X5 - $59,895

Newly redesigned, the 2019 BMW X5 exhibits a smooth and controlled ride on the pavement, and it even has solid off-road chops. It features a posh interior, particularly when you pack on the options. The $2,200 Rear Seat Entertainment Professional package may be worth it if you want to keep your kids occupied with movies and music.

2020 Cadillac Escalade - $76,490

The Cadillac Escalade is due for a redesign in 2020. We have high expectations, as we expect it to finally meet the challenge of the opulent Lincoln Navigator. Until then, enjoy this iconic figure of formidability donning lots of chrome on the outside and leather and wood on the inside. A $1,720 package adds a 9.0-inch Blu-ray/ DVD player to the rear area, but dual screens are also available for $1,995, depending on the trim you pick.

This Camaro lookalike breaks away from the SUV stereotype. Matching its aggressive looks, its available 3.6-liter V-6 packs a punch with 308 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. Inside the cabin, the Camaro vibe continues, adopting a similar layout as the sports car and practical materials. It's surprisingly roomy, though, so passengers can get comfortable. A rear seat infotainment system with DVD player is available for $1,995.

The Ford Expedition is a game changer in its segment, boasting efficiency, interior functionality, quick acceleration, and excellent towing capability. We liked the Expedition so much, it won a recent comparison test against the Dodge Durango, Chevrolet Tahoe, Nissan Armada, and Toyota Sequoia. If you want to top it off with a dual-headrest entertainment system in the back, it'll be $1,995. This system, available on all Expedition trims, allows passengers to play games, stream from mobile devices, or watch live TV with Slingbox.

Other Ford SUVs with rear entertainment systems: EcoSport, Explorer

2020 GMC Acadia - $26,195

2020 Infiniti QX60 - $45,375

This three-row SUV is a bit long in the tooth, riding less comfortably than many competitors, but a new QX60 is on the way. In the meantime, the current QX60 boasts plenty of interior space, and easy third-row access. Splurge for the Theater Package on the Luxe trim, and you get dual 8.0-inch monitors, a rear console-mounted single USB port that is compatible with audio and video, and single HDMI port.

The Aviator is the latest example of Lincoln moving a step up the luxury totem pole. The air suspension, light steering, and high-quality leather make the midsize SUV a comfortable space to spend a few hours. LincolnPlay is available for an extra $1,780 when paired with the Luxury package.

Other Lincoln SUVs with rear seat entertainment systems: Navigator, Nautilus

2020 Mazda CX-9 - $34,835

This large SUV prioritizes nimble handling as much as it does interior space. The CX-9 brings a host of improvements for the 2020 model year, including more standard safety features, available captain's chairs, a hands-free liftgate, and more USB ports for charging. It should also continue to offer a rear seat entertainment system, which cost $1,795 on the 2019 model and was available even on the base trim.

2020 Nissan Pathfinder - $32,725

The Nissan Pathfinder makes a strong 284 hp from its V-6 engine, and there's plenty of room to stretch out no matter where you're sitting. If you opt for the Nissan Mobile Entertainment System package, you can occupy your little ones in the back with dual 8.0-inch monitors. It's available for $1,700 on the Platinum trim.

2020 Honda Pilot - $32,645

Although we've had some qualms with the optional nine-speed transmission, this SUV is comfortable to drive thanks to its smooth suspension and compliant V-6. On the EX-L, the Advanced Navi and Rear Entertainment System is an extra $2,000. The feature is standard on the Touring and Elite.

2019/2020 Porsche Cayenne - $68,150

Porsche's first SUV was considered blasphemy when it debuted in the early 2000s, but now we can't imagine the automaker without such a potent and practical vehicle. We've tested the regular Cayenne hitting 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, but a Cayenne Turbo did the deed in just 3.2 seconds. You can thank its 541 hp for that. And the interior offers all the fancy features you'd expect from the marque. For $1,920, you receive two high-res, 10.0-inch touchscreens in the back so rear passengers can watch their favorite flicks. The screens are removable, so you can take them inside to continue the fun at home.

2020 Toyota Sequoia - $51,230

The Toyota Sequoia is in need of an update, with a new TRD Pro variant being the latest news we've heard from this boxy SUV recently. The Sequoia's 5.7-liter V-8 makes 381 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque, but that power comes at the expense of poor fuel economy. But for big families with lots of gear, it has just the right amount of space. A rear entertainment system in the back will run you $1,920 on the Limited trim.
