For those worried GM's switch to all-electric power for the new GMC Hummer EV might make it boring to drive, we have some good news. The truck will still be able to pull off donuts in the snow. Albeit in silence.

GMC's social media channels released a 15-second video earlier this week of a Hummer EV pickup prototype ripping some donuts in the snow. While it doesn't tell us much about how the vehicle is to drive, it's enough to let us know that you can turn all of the safety systems off, should you so desire. That's good news.

The GMC Hummer EV will come with three electric motors making a total of 1000 horsepower thanks to a massive 200-kWh floor-mounted battery pack. Instant torque at zero rpm makes spinning the tires on loose surfaces easy, though as the video shows, you won't be making much noise.

We're looking forward to giving it a try ourselves. Production is set to begin later this year, so we won't have to wait long.
