- Kerry Washington, 45, just revealed her long, lean legs at the 2022 Met Gala.
- The actress showed off her strong bod in a sheer, black gown with a high slit and a pair of matching stiletto heels.
- Pilates, SoulCycle, and water aerobics are some of Kerry's go-to fitness favorites.
The 2022 Met Gala was packed with stylish celebs rocking fabulous, over-the-top ballgowns. A-listers like Gwen Stefani and Katy Perry gave it their all—but leave it to Kerry Washington to make a show-stopping statement on the red carpet.
Kerry, 45, stunned attendees with a sheer, black Tory Burch dress. A sky-high slit highlighting her super sculpted lower bod and some strappy black heels completed the look.
TBH, it's a *major* moment. And, friends and fans on Instagram totally agreed: "Omg you look unbelievable!!!!!" wrote Eva Longoria. Octavia Spencer added,"🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥," while Chelsea Handler commented, "Nice leg action, Kerry."
Wondering just how Kerry toned those Met Gala legs? While the actress loves a good sweat session these days, Kerry didn't always like going to the gym.
“You don’t even want to be in your own body when [you] show up at the gym—I didn’t for years,” she shared with Women's Health. “As women, we live in this culture where it’s like, ‘You have to fix this.’"
Flash forward, and Kerry has revealed that Pilates helped her find a love for exercise. "Pilates has allowed me to be focused on my appearance and my health in ways that are not abusive or critical,” she told WH.
Trainer Juliet Kaska helps Kerry use equipment like The Reformer, The Table, and The Chair to strengthen her whole body. “That way our workouts can also be really diverse in what we’re doing, in what she needs, and where we can meet,” she told Women's Health back in 2012.
Other days, Kerry shakes things up by going for a hike or a swim, according to Allure. She's also a fan of SoulCycle classes, biking on her Peloton, squeezing in some cardio on the elliptical machine, and getting her groove on in dance classes. “I do different things, but I’m most obsessed with water aerobics,” she added. “Now I do it with my friends on the weekends.”
Food-wise, Kerry says snacks are a must. "Award shows are really long so I have some dried fruit and sprouted seeds in my bag. I 'm big on sprouted seeds, almonds, whole foods. I get hungry," she explained to Elle in 2015.
