In first interview since son's death at 24, supermodel Stephanie Seymour reveals what helps her grief, more stars who've lost children in recent years

Supermodel Stephanie Seymour and publisher Peter Brant lost son Harry Brant -- a socialite, model and beauty businessman -- at the start of 2021. Harry was found dead on Jan. 17, his family confirmed to The New York Times. The New York "it" boy died of an accidental prescription drug overdose after battling addiction issues for years, according to his family. "We will forever be saddened that his life was cut short by this devastating disease," they told the Times in a statement. "He achieved a lot in his 24 years, but we will never get the chance to see how much more Harry could have done." In the years before his death, Harry worked as a columnist for his father's Interview magazine, walked runways for notable fashion designers and, with big brother Peter II, launched a unisex makeup line with MAC.In early 2023, Stephanie returned to modeling for the first time since Harry died, posing for the cover of WSJ. Magazine's Spring Women's Fashion Issue. In the black-and-white spread, she sports a number of looks including a Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane suit that her son bought for himself years ago. "If I think that Harry would love something, I do it, and it does help me with my grief. It still feels so good to put his clothes on," she told the magazine in her first interview since losing her son. She added of recently spending the holidays with her family, sans Harry, "I try to just be present.
