Nintendo released The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom version 1.1.2 to fix some bugs and glitches, one of which was a glitch that proved very popular with players. As a result, Tears of the Kingdom players will not be able to replicate the glitch after updating to version 1.1.2 but will be able to progress on at least one quest affected by a bug.

Last week, Tears of the Kingdom released version update 1.1.1, which brought a bug fix for "The Closed Door" quest that prevented players from progressing. The update also included some undisclosed bug fixes and improvements to the game. While that update followed a day-one patch to Tears of the Kingdom, that has not stopped Nintendo from continuing to fix and perfect the game's remaining flaws. However, while some Zelda players argued on social media that certain flaws were better left alone, they now have a choice to make with the release of version 1.1.2.

As part of Tears of the Kingdom version 1.1.2, Nintendo patched out the popular item duplication glitches that players have widely used since they were discovered shortly after the game was released. Between duplicating specific weapons and materials for combat, and cloning gems to sell for vast amounts of rupees, players were able to use quick and intricate menu inputs to glitch the game to their advantage. Naturally, some players took to social media to voice their displeasure with Nintendo's decision to fix the exploit. However, players that want to continue exploiting the item duplication glitches will have to do so while their Switch is not connected to the Internet, as the console will download the update immediately upon connecting to Nintendo's servers.

However, Tears of the Kingdom players that have struggled with reaching a bugged point in the quest "Camera Work in the Depths" will now be able to make progress. The quest itself serves as an introduction to the dark and dangerous Depths of Hyrule. In addition, a fix was issued for the game's audio in which the game would play at an extremely high volume during certain points. Other bugs and fixes were listed in the patch notes, but as was the case in previous updates, the details were kept intentionally vague by Nintendo. It falls to players to uncover what those remaining fixes are.

Even with the release of Tears of the Kingdom version 1.1.2, players will still have plenty of ways to farm items such as bomb flowers throughout their adventure. It remains to be seen what else Nintendo will see fit to fix in future updates to Tears of the Kingdom.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
