It’s been five years since she released new music. And after much speculation, Adele has finally confirmed her new album will be released this September.

The Grammy winner announced the news over the weekend while performing at the wedding reception of her best friend Laura Dockrill at The Mason’s Arms pub in London.

In a clip obtained by MailOnline, Adele tells the audience “expect my album in September” before treating fans to her chart-topping song, “Rolling in the Deep.”

This news comes after Adele’s manager, Jonathan Dickins, revealed that new music from the star would be coming in 2020.

Adele officiated the wedding of former Maccabees star Hugo White to his author bride Laura on Saturday. Adele and Laura go way back, having become friends while attending BRIT school; a prestigious performing arts school in the UK.

The two besties hit a rough patch a few years ago, which inspired Adele’s song, “My Same.” But it looks like their friendship is back on track. Laura even took the stage with Adele to perform a Spice Girls duet.

Singers Jessie Ware, 35, and Florence Welch, 33, were also in attendance and joined Adele onstage to serenade the crowd.

2020 is shaping up to be quite the year for the songstress.

Besides the new album, Adele has been making headlines recently for her dramatic weight loss.

The singer has reportedly lost over 100 pounds after transforming her lifestyle. Her former trainer, Camila Goodis, credited the loss to diet.

“She's working out but I think 90 percent of it is diet," she said during a chat with Scottish television presenter, Lorraine Kelly.

"It's a good diet to shed the weight. The first week is intense, green juices and only 1,000 calories. She doesn't look too thin - she looks amazing."

Adele has been working with Goodis, a former Pilates trainer, as well as Dalton Wong. Wong has trained several stars in Hollywood, including Jennifer Lawrence.

A source told People, Adele was inspired to get healthy for her son, who she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki.

The couple started dating in 2011, about a year before they announced they were expecting their son, Angelo, who was born in 2010.

In 2017, Adele and Konecki, a charity entrepreneur, secretly married. Adele confirmed the marriage during her acceptance speech at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards calling Konecki her “husband.”

Rumors of separation started in 2019, after about two years of marriage. In April 2019, Adele’s rep confirmed the news.

Right now, it looks like Adele is in a great place and will be delighting fans with new music soon.

Although Adele’s album hasn’t been confirmed with an official statement, we’re holding the singer to her word (and praying her new music will be just as good as previous albums).

The “Skyfall” singer made it clear she was done titling her albums based on her age. And there’s a lot of anticipation from her fans on what she might call this not-yet-released collection of songs.

With only seven months to go, let the countdown to September begin!
