We have a hunch that this upcoming New Year's Eve is going to be one for the books!
A little birdie told us that two iconic singers are getting together for a December 31 celebration unlike any other. Well, to be fair, that little birdie came in the form of an Instagram post, but you get the sentiment.
Newly appointed Rock & Roll Hall of Fame star Dolly Parton is headed to Miami to host a New Year's Eve celebration with her goddaughter and fellow singer Miley Cyrus.
The two powerhouses shared the exciting news in identical posts. Miley's caption simply read,"#NewYearNewCoHost @dollyparton" while Dolly wished the "Wrecking Ball" singer a happy birthday exclaiming that she "can't wait to celebrate with [her] and ring in the new year!! ❤️"
Dressed in color-coordinated, form-fitting dresses, Dolly was golden in a sequin long sleeve dress with matching heels while Miley kept things simple in a bodycon black dress and heels.
As the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley grew up surrounded by music. After touring with Billy Ray and first meeting newborn Miley, Dolly immediately knew that she wanted to be a part of her fairy goddaughter's life. Since then, the two have starred in Hannah Montana together and combined their powerful voices for unforgettable performances.
The 76- and 30-year-old musical talents also shared a quick video with fans on Instagram teasing that their New Year's Eve celebration is going to be "legendary."
As expected when two iconic stars announce a special collab, fans were floored by the news and immediately bombarded the comment section with messages like:
- "2023 has never looked so bright"
- "Legendary and glamorous ✨ Count us in!"
- "I didn’t think you could top last years iconic show… but here you are!!!! So excited!!!"
- "The best duo 💕"
If Heidi Klum is the queen of Halloween (it's pretty hard to beat her latest costume) and Mariah Carey is the queen of Christmas, then we're officially giving queen of New Year's Eve to Dolly!
Fans can tune into Miley's New Year's Eve Party December 31 at 10:30PM ET on NBC and Peacock for a celebration that's bound to be legendary.
