Last weekend, actor Will Ferrell joined forces with Texas Democratic challenger for the gubernatorial race, Beto O'Rourke. He was spotted canvassing door-to-door encouraging others to vote for O'Rourke instead of his opponent, Greg Abbott.

According to a viral TikTok from @travelingnurse, the Anchorman star showed up at the O'Rourke headquarters in Houston on Friday, October 28. In her video, Ferrell said he planned on going door-to-door the following day because he believes whatever happens in Texas could affect other states.

"It's funny they say all politics is local, the only thing is now all local politics become national so what happens here in Texas affects California and vice-versa, so we are all kind of interconnected," he said in the clip that has more than 385,000 views and over 52,000 likes as of Monday, October 31.

O'Rourke has been getting support from lots of celebrities. The most recent was Broadway star and creator of the award-winning Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda. He made an appearance at a rally in Houston on October 18, telling a crowd of nearly 2,000 people to back O'Rourke.

During Austin City Limits, six-time Grammy Award-winning singer Kacey Musgraves brought out O'Rourke during her set. Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, also shared a photo of O'Rourke on her Instagram story after performing at ACL.

Most notably, pop singer Harry Styles endorsed O'Rourke after flashing a "Beto for Texas" sticker on his guitar during one of his concerts at the Moody Center in Austin earlier this month. Actor Mark Ruffalo, who's best known for playing The Hulk in The Avengers films, also showed support for O'Rourke, as well as Willie Nelson and Hollywood power couple Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker.
