Will This Wine Be Served at the Royal Wedding?

There is just over one week to go until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle walk down the aisle, and final preparations are in the works.

We already know what type of cake the newlyweds will serve at the reception, but one of the remaining questions is which wine guests will sip next Saturday afternoon. The most likely contender seems to be Chapel Down, a British brand that produces still and sparkling wines.

Chapel Down's Brut Rosé was poured at William and Kate's wedding in 2011 and during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration. It's also the official sparkling wine supplier of No. 10 Downing Street, the official residence and office of the British Prime Minister.

And to top it off, it was the first English wine to be served at Ascot racecourse.

But when asked about the rampant rumors that Chapel Down has been selected for the royal wedding, Chapel Down Managing Director Mark Harvey played coy: "I’m afraid I’m simply not in a position to confirm or deny! What I can say is we were thrilled by the news of their engagement and we sent the happy couple a magnum of Chapel Down to aid the celebrations," Harvey told Town & Country, sounding a lot like someone on a quest for a Royal Warrant.

The winery has 22 acres of vineyards in the town of Tenterden in Kent, England, about 60 miles southeast of London. It has an on-site restaurant and shop and is open to the public for tours every day.

Even if you can't get to the winery, you can still get a bottle for your royal wedding viewing party: three types of Chapel Down are conveniently available on
