40-plus North Texas restaurants offering Thanksgiving dishes and desserts to-go

Thanksgiving is likely to look very different this year. Leave the stress of cooking behind and order out from your favorite eatery, or spice it up and try a new spot. Many restaurants are offering to-go meals to enjoy at home for your small family gatherings, and some are open for socially distanced dining. At most of these restaurants, place your orders early.

Al Biernat’s

The restaurant has a special takeout menu that features holiday staples such as a whole turkey and smoked heritage spiral-sliced half-ham, family-style sides like cornbread dressing, garlic smashed potatoes and lobster risotto, and desserts including pumpkin cheesecake and Texas pecan pie. Order by Nov. 23 at 6 p.m. for pickup Nov. 25. Two Dallas locations: 4217 Oak Lawn Ave. and 5251 Spring Valley Road.

Asian Mint

The chain has a dine-in menu and to-go platter prep kits, both available through Nov. 30. The dine-in menu is also available for carryout. Both menus include cranberry crispy chicken, golden squash stir-fry, green bean chicken basil and Thai pumpkin custard. Dine-in dishes are $8-$15.95, and prep kits for each dish serve five to eight people for $24-$65. Order by Nov. 23 for pickup Nov. 25. Four locations in Dallas and Richardson.

Babb Brothers BBQ and Blues

The barbecue joint has an ancho honey-glazed whole smoked turkey available to-go for $80. Customers can add any other menu item to their meal, including one of 11 sides including smoked green beans or bourbon corn. Big Al’s

The Dallas eatery offers takeout bundles for the holiday, including the Family Feast that serves eight to 10 people for $125 and the Holiday Dinner that serves four to six people for $99. The menus feature smoked turkey, smoked ham, smashed potatoes, green beans, cornbread dressing, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce and dinner rolls. Menu items can also be ordered a la carte. The French bakery offers Thanksgiving-themed specials for the season including pies like apple streusel pie with almond streusel topping, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream and leaf décor. Other options include “cruffins” — which are half croissant and half muffin — for $4.35 each, and seasonal desserts such as bourbon chocolate pecan tarts ($4.50) leaf- and pumpkin-shaped cookies ($4) and macarons shaped like pumpkins and turkeys ($5). Blue Mesa Grill

The restaurant is offering a dine-in Thanksgiving brunch ($28 per adult, $7 for kids 6-11, free for children 5 and younger) featuring entrees like roasted turkey, red chile glazed ham and grilled salmon. The $109.99 package features a 10- to 12-pound woodfired rotisserie turkey, twice-baked potatoes, an additional side, country-style stuffing, 12 dinner rolls and peach cobbler. Crú Food and Wine Bar

The restaurant is serving a dine-in three-course meal that includes options such as lobster and butternut squash risotto, pumpkin ricotta ravioli, pan-seared branzino piccata and chocolate molten lava cake. $50 per person. The takeout menu includes butternut squash bisque, Caesar salad, roasted turkey breast, pumpkin cheesecake, and gala apple and pecan bread pudding. $80 for two people to go; $150 for four people to go. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse

The steakhouse is offering a prix fixe dine-in menu starting at $49 that includes a choice of butternut squash soup or harvest salad, slow-roasted turkey breast, apple-sausage stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans and cranberry relish. For dessert, customers can choose pumpkin cheesecake or pecan pie a la mode. To-go family meal packs can feed two to four people starting at $175, or four to six people starting at $250. Dive Coastal Cuisine

The seafood restaurant is serving family-style Thanksgiving dishes and sides to-go this year. Eatzi’s Market and Bakery

The eatery offers a Thanksgiving takeout menu that includes Rosewood Ranch smoked Wagyu prime rib roast, chipotle bacon glazed smoked turkey leg, broccoli rice casserole, smashed sweet potatoes, sausage and cornbread stuffing, and cranberry white chocolate cheesecake. Ellie’s

The Hall Arts Hotel restaurant offers a prix fixe three-course menu for $75 per person. The dine-in meal includes butternut squash soup, organic turkey with orange-sorghum glaze, green bean casserole, jalapeño biscuit stuffing, sweet potato pone, cranberry sauce, sage gravy, pumpkin cheesecake and Texas pecan pie. A to-go meal includes either a half-turkey ($195) or a whole turkey ($295) and all of the items from the dine-in menu. The pizza spot has a carryout Thanksgiving meal that serves four to six people for $195. The menu includes a choice of wood-roasted turkey breast or chipotle barbecued pork shoulder (or both), sides like blue corn-chorizo stuffing and spicy whipped sweet potatoes, and either Honeycrisp apple-cream cheese flatbread “pie” with aged balsamic or a pumpkin-pecan pie with whiskey butter. Fish City Grill and Half Shells

Locations are offering a 9-by-13-inch dish of blackberry, pecan or peach cobbler for $32.99. The cobbler comes with a free quart of roasted jalapeño soup and a recipe to use the soup for green bean casserole. Slices of pumpkin cheesecake are $5.99 and are available for dine-in and takeout. Order cobblers through Nov. 22 for pickup Nov. 25. Fish City locations are in Allen, Dallas, Flower Mound, Irving, Mansfield, Richardson and Southlake. Half Shells locations are in Dallas and Plano. Gorji Restaurant

The Dallas eatery is serving a three- or four-course takeout menu this year. The menu includes Texas chili and yogurt over grilled chilled avocado, romaine and kale Caesar salad, grilled turkey breast with langoustine tails and smashed potatoes, and Australian sea bass and Texas shrimp over cauliflower puree. Desserts include strawberries with house-made kefir, feta and roasted pistachios, and flourless chocolate cake with raspberries and whipped cream. Haywire and The Ranch at Las Colinas

The two restaurants are offering a ready-to-eat Thanksgiving dinner kit through Nov. 23 for $90 that feeds four people. It includes smoked turkey breast or ham, buttermilk chive whipped potatoes, smoked jalapeño sausage gravy, cornbread stuffing, green beans, candied yams, cornbread muffins, cranberry relish and dinner salad with honey herb vinaigrette. Customers can add on individual sides, pies and meats for $10-$40. Also, through Dec. 31, guests can order the Route 44 pecan pie for $50 at both restaurants. Herd and Hearth

The eatery at the Westin Stonebriar Hotel and Golf Club is serving a family-style dine-in lunch on Thanksgiving Day that includes oven-roasted turkey breast with lemon thyme garlic rub, Dr Pepper glazed North American salmon, pan-fried haricots verts with Texas black garlic butter, roasted root vegetables, pumpkin-spiced panna cotta and white chocolate and pretzel streusel. $32-$58 per person. Maple Leaf Diner

The Dallas eatery offers a dine-in Thanksgiving plate for $21 per person that includes herb-roasted turkey breast, balsamic-glazed Brussels sprouts, sweet potato mash, sage-sausage stuffing muffins and cranberry confit. To-go meals ($72 for four people) include all items from the dine-in Thanksgiving plate, plus cauliflower gratin with herbed panko topping. Morton’s the Steakhouse

The Dallas steakhouse has a to-go turkey dinner for $49 per person or a meal for four for $165. The meal includes oven-roasted turkey roulade with savory sage and cranberry stuffing, smoked gouda au gratin, bacon and onion macaroni and cheese, Brussels sprouts, winter salad, pumpkin cheesecake with sea salt caramel, cranberry relish, turkey gravy, and egg and onion bread. The regular dine-in menu features the eatery’s signature steak and lobster Oscar for $59. Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille

From Nov. 23 through 29, Pinstripes is challenging guests to roll a “turkey” in a bowling game (three strikes in a row) to receive a free turkey dinner for two. Rise + Thyme

The Dallas restaurant by celebrity chef Amanda Freitag is offering a take-home meal for four. The menu includes skin-on turkey breast, herb stuffing, maple pecan sweet potato mash, Yukon mashed potatoes, braised collard greens, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, Parker House dinner rolls and a whole pumpkin cheesecake. $150. The Beeman Hotel eatery offers a takeout meal that serves eight to 10 people ($195) and includes items such as smoked turkey, cranberry apple sage stuffing, pimento cheese-stuffed cornbread and smoked pecan pie. Menu items are also available for dine-in. Seely’s Mill is partnering with North Texas Food Bank to donate a portion of proceeds from the holiday menu to the organization. Sloane’s Corner

The Dallas restaurant has a takeout menu that includes herb turkey, roasted beef tenderloin, sourdough and pear stuffing, potato puree, broccolini, cranberry sauce, kale and walnut salad, apple pie, brown gravy and bordelaise. $120 for two people; $45 per additional person. Kits for Old- Fashioned or It’s Fall Y’all cocktails are $50 and serve six people. The traveling vegan food truck offers a vegan creole meal to-go ($145) that includes a choice of vegan Cajun meatloaf or creole-style oyster mushroom or turkey loaf, and comes with cornbread dressing with “shrimp,” Cajun stuffed baby bell peppers, creamed spinach madeleine, Cajun rice and sweet potato casserole. The traditional vegan Thanksgiving meal ($135) includes a choice of vegan meatloaf, turkey loaf or chicken cutlets, and comes with cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, garlic green beans, sweet corn on the cob and sweet potato casserole. The taco chain is offering homemade mole by the pint for the holiday, as well as the special Pollo de Mole taco, made with shredded chicken, mole, queso fresco, cilantro and onion. Prices vary. Pick up orders by Nov. 25. Four locations in Plano and Dallas.

Ten50 BBQ

The Richardson barbecue spot is offering a to-go family-style menu that feeds 15 to 20 with meats including glazed ham, turkey, brisket and beef tenderloin ($60-$150), sides such as five-cheese macaroni and brisket baked beans ($44 each) and house-made desserts like chocolate pie and fruit cobbler ($40-$44). A holiday pitmaster package is $30 per person, with a 15-person minimum per order, and it includes glazed ham, smoked turkey breast, green beans, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, rolls and fruit cobbler. TJ’s Seafood Market

The seafood eatery has a special takeout menu that includes holiday platters, ready-to-eat seafood, holiday favorites like beef tenderloin and baked brie, sides such as crispy Brussels sprouts with lemon aioli, and raw and frozen seafood. Toro Toro

The Fort Worth restaurant offers a family-style dine-in menu for $65 per person that includes a house salad, ancho-glazed turkey breast with roasted poblano gravy, sides like chorizo and wild rice stuffing and spice roasted rainbow carrots, and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. The to-go meal for four to six people ($180) includes salad, turkey breast, gravy, Parker House rolls, pumpkin cheesecake and three sides. $30 per additional person.
