Chewy Chips Ahoy are being recalled due to a solidified ingredient that could become a choking hazard.

Mondelēz International LLC, the parent company of the popular snack, conducted a voluntary nationwide recall of the Chewy Chips Ahoy 13 oz. packs after solidified cornstarch was found in some of the packages, the company said in a press release.

According to the Chips Ahoy official Twitter, some consumers reported gagging, choking, or dental injury due to the consumption of the solidified cornstarch. The company is encouraging consumers to report any incidents to the Mondelēz International LLC customer service line.

Consumers should dispose of the Chewy Chips Ahoy packages that have "Best Used By" dates of September 7, September 8, September 14, and September 15, 2019 and with the UPC code of 0 44000 03223 4. No other products seemed to have been affected, according to the press release.
