Dunkin’ is officially offering a new drink it tested at Massachusetts locations last summer.

The new menu item known as “Popping Bubbles” is similar to that of bubble tea.

“Strawberry flavor packed into small bursting bubbles that literally pop in your mouth,” the company said. “Made with color sourced from plants, the delicious strawberry taste of Popping Bubbles pairs perfectly with the vibrant fruit flavors in Dunkin’ iced drinks like new Dunkin’ Coconut Refreshers or Lemonade.”

Popping Bubbles can be added to any iced or frozen drink at Dunkin’. It will include a new pink and orange paper straw that is wider than usual to get “the full bubble-up experience.”

“As the destination for flavorful beverages to keep folks running all season long, we’re kicking off summer with something extra fun by offering our guests Strawberry Popping Bubbles,” said Jill Nelson, vice president of marketing and culinary at Dunkin’. “With an exciting explosion of strawberry flavor, Popping Bubbles are a new way to make favorite Dunkin’ iced or frozen drinks even cooler.”

The new drink option will be available June 23.

The promotion also includes the chance to win $5,000, Dunkin’ gift cards and more.

Starting July 2 through July 31, customers can virtually pop Strawberry Popping Bubbles to win prizes. Information on how to win will be available on Dunkin’s Instagram.

“One grand prize winner will have the chance to ‘Break the Bubble’ with a $5,000 cash prize they could put toward a future vacation,” the company said.
