How to Brew Mulled Cider (Because the Homemade Stuff Is Always Better)

Fall is in the air and we’re craving pumpkin, cranberry and, of course, apple. Here’s our favorite recipe for brewing a delicious cup of mulled apple cider that’s perfect for sipping on the porch and watching the leaves change. What You Need: - 8 cups apple cider - 5 or 6 fresh orange slices - 8 or 9 lemon peel slivers - 10 whole all-spice berries - 8 whole cloves - 4 star anise pods - 4 cinnamon sticks - ¼ cup maple syrup Step 1: Pour apple cider into large pot and heat over medium-low. Step 2: Add the orange slices, lemon peel, all-spice, cloves, star anise, cinnamon sticks and maple syrup. Step 3: Let simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring regularly.
