A first-of-its-kind food truck will be making waves in San Francisco this summer.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch food truck will dole out tasty eats while raising awareness about ocean-friendly seafood at music festivals, block parties and other outdoor summer events around the Bay Area. The menu – a mix of sustainable fish tacos and wraps, as well as vegan-friendly bites – will be served in collaboration with local favorite Little Green Cyclo, the Bay Area's first Vietnamese food truck.

The truck aims to raise awareness about the importance of buying Best Choice, green-rated seafood – fish that are caught or farmed in ways that cause little harm to habitats or other wildlife.

"The ocean supplies humans with food, provides a home to animals and awes us with its immense beauty," reads an official statement about the program. "We imagine a future for the ocean where fish populations are healthy and seafood is caught without harming the environment."

Diners can choose between three conscious options: tacos, butter lettuce wraps or bánh mì sandwiches made with either U.S. West Coast rockfish or butternut squash with kale and candied walnuts. They can also mix and match between flavor options: think chili lime, tamarind or Cajun-style seasoning to finish off those fish tacos.

For over ten years, The Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch program has advocated for sustainable seafood consumption, partnering with chefs and seafood businesses around the world. The food truck will make its first stop this weekend at Menlo Park's summer fest.
