The Hidden Gem Seafood Spot In South Carolina, Driftwoods Seafood & Steak Restaurant, Has Out-Of-This-World Food
It’s difficult to fathom that the seafood capital of the world would have a hidden seafood spot! But Driftwoods Seafood & Steak Restaurant in Murrells Inlet is such a place, a hidden gem restaurant with some of the best seafood in South Carolina.
Tucked away off the beaten path in a strip mall, this restaurant is a regular go-to for locals and knowledgeable visitors to the area.
The menu is varied but the fresh seafood is what many come for. The portions are a good size and the prices are reasonable.
If you want just a taste of seafood, you can always get the peel-and-eat shrimp appetizer.
Or get an entree that is a combination, such as the blackened chicken and shrimp …
… or steak and crab legs!
Here we have beer-battered fish and chips served with fries and homemade coleslaw. The chef here doesn't over-bread, over-fry, or overcook, so your meal is just right.
Want something lighter? Get the blackened salmon spring salad with raspberry vinaigrette.
Be sure to ask about the specials. This is blackened lobster tortellini with a side salad, so tasty!
There are drink specials, too. Here you see a Grapefruit and Rose Ketel One spritzer.
And then for dessert … how about some decadent chocolate mousse cake?
The restaurant also has an amazing breakfast buffet currently on Sundays!
For additional details and the complete menu, visit the Driftwoods Seafood & Steak Restaurant website and the Driftwood Seafood & Steak Restaurant Facebook page for updates. If you’re visiting the area, be sure to check out the MarshWalk while you’re there and stop by the Lazy Gator, one of the best gift shops in South Carolina, for a souvenir, homemade fudge, and some shopping fun.
