This week is Burger Week in St. Louis and the Today in St. Louis team have been going out and trying some of the burgers.

More than 40 restaurants are participating. Each place has come up with a special item just for the week and it only costs $6.

Jenn Sullivan went out to The Blue Duck in Maplewood.

“I’m always for celebrating burgers because that’s pretty much what I eat anytime I eat. I’m pretty simple. So anything that celebrates meat and cheese on bread, I’m pretty happy to do,” said Head Chef, Jordan Knight

Their burger is called the Griddle burger which has fried onion rings, bacon and of course plenty of cheese. Knight said his grandmother helped inspired this week’s specialty burger.

“This burger is kind of from my childhood. My grandmother had a counter where she made these griddle burgers all the time so I kind of did the same thing with a special burger sauce. I played with the pickles a little bit and did some and did some pickled onions that we fried. I think it’s pretty nice,” said Knight.

In addition to the $6 Griddle Burger, you can also get $1 Hamm’s beer.
