Woodland’s Dinner on Main may look a little more like Street Cruisers this year rather than dining al fresco.

Due to the fluid regulations for safety during the era of COVID-19, organizers of the sell-out event have changed its platform to a farm-to-fork you-bake pizza party.

“Everything is drive-thru right now, whether you’re getting a COVID test or going to the grocery store, everything is drive-thru,” said Linda Henigan, executive director of Woodland’s Dinner on Main.

Tickets are now on sale for the Gourmet You-Bake Pizza fundraiser, taking place Sunday, Sept. 20. Proceeds from the event will benefit Yolo Delivers HOPE and Dinner on Main’s Edible Learning Garden.

The idea is to bring the pizza — and the party — home. Outlandish costumes, decor and music are encouraged. Dinner party guests can post pictures of their celebration to Instagram, and the celebration voted “best” will win four tickets and seats at “The Chef’s Table” at next year’s Dinner on Main event.

Details of contests rules will be posted closer to the event.

Gourmet You-Bake Pizza Party for two is $100 and includes a large pizza made from all things Yolo County, from the dough to the toppings; bottle of Yolo County wine or two beers from Blue Note or Yolo Brewing; and a pie, Anya’s Lemon Meringue.

Gourmet You-Bake Pizza Party for eight is $300 and includes Chef Toby’s (Barajas from Savory Cafe) salad-in-a-jar; three large pizzas (choices will be listed soon); two bottles of Yolo County wine or eight beers from Blue Note Brewing or Yolo Brewing; and two pies, Anya’s Lemon Meringue.

Additional beer and wine will be available day of for purchase.

Proceeds from last year’s sold-out Dinner on Main benefitted culinary programs at Esparto, Pioneer and Woodland high schools, Bryte Culinary Program, FFA, Young Farmers and Ranchers, Yolo Food Bank, All Leaders Must Serve, Woodland Junior Wolves and Soroptimist International.
