There's a brand-new beer bar in town. Called Beer Garden, the fresh addition is located in the former Paris Cinema spot at 64 Franklin St. in downtown Worcester.

With some 36 craft beers on tap, you'll find something to suit your taste. Most are from New England, though you might spot selections from as far away as Colorado and California. Sour beers and IPAs are particularly well-represented.

Enjoy your pick either indoors or on the large patio, where there are heating lamps and TVs showing the game. There's regular live entertainment and a house DJ spinning themed music every night. Burgers and sausage dominate an elevated pub-style menu.

With a 3.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition is getting solid feedback from clientele.

Julian C., who reviewed the new spot on Oct. 8, wrote, "I was impressed. A great selection of craft beers. $5 for low-end beer, but expect to pay over $6.50 for anything good. Certain days after 8 p.m., they have half-priced appetizers. Nice to see an upscale, relaxed, friendly place downtown."

And Swabarna M. wrote, "The bar area is nice, and the outdoor is pretty, however it's still new and looks like they have had a rushed opening. Worcester downtown needed this. Good options on beer, but not much for non-beer drinkers."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Beer Garden Worcester is open from 11 a.m.–midnight daily.
