The Florida Department of Health confirmed Monday that there are two confirmed cases of coronavirus in Florida.
Both patients are isolated and being cared for appropriately.
Sign up for our NewslettersDuring a news conference Monday morning, Florida Surgeon General Scott Rivkees said the Hillsborough County patient is a woman in her 20s who just returns from northern Italy, where there's a large outbreak.
The Manatee County patient with COVID-19 is a man in his 60s and is in the hospital and stable. It's not known at this time how he was exposed.

On Sunday, Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order, which directed a public health emergency and statewide response protocol for COVID-19.
In a press conference Monday, Gov. DeSantis said the state is monitoring 184 potential coronavirus cases and said the threat to the public remains low.

The governor met Monday morning with the chiefs of the state agencies that will be at the forefront of combating the virus, including the departments overseeing schools, prisons and elder care facilities.
The governor will hold another press conference at 2 p.m. in Miami.
The Palm Beach County School district announced Monday that they are implementing enhanced campus and kitchen cleaning at their schools for the next 30 days.

They said the program will be re-evaluated at the end of the month to determine if continued extensive cleaning is warranted.
Coronavirus symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. It can spread from person to person through small droplets such as when an individual coughs or sneezes.
There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus.
