OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH)--The BBC reported this week that cow hugging could be the world's newest wellness trend.

Prairie Conlon, LPC, NCC and Clinical Director of CertaPet, agreed that the trend could be good for wellness.

"A recent study found that animal ownership - any type of animal - is associated with smaller decreases in mental health. This comes as no surprise to those of us who have practiced in the industry for years. Having a pet not only decreases loneliness through connection, they also provide us with responsibility and physical activity, two things that will keep your mind and body healthy." - Prairie Conlon, LPC, NCC & Clinical Director of CertaPet
