The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is a pandemic. Reported illnesses range from very mild to severe, including death. Agencies anticipate widespread transmission will occur in the U.S. in coming months and recommend social distancing among other measures to slow the spread. As of Wednesday morning, over 438,000 cases of the novel coronavirus have been reported worldwide. Over 55,000 have been reported in the United States, and at least 800 people have died.

The Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering has compiled an interactive web-based dashboard to track COVID-19 in real time. Hosted by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, it visualizes and tracks reported cases, illustrating the location and number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, deaths and recoveries for all affected countries.
