Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Probably (Definitely) Getting Their Own Instagram and Twitter Accounts

We know the royals have their own secret Instagram accounts, but they also operate under a set of highly regulated and curated social media profiles as well.

The Queen's team uses the Instagram and Twitter handle "@theroyalfamily," while Prince Charles and Camilla operate under "@clarencehouse." Until now (spoiler alert), the Cambridges and the Sussexes jointly used the Kensington Palace handle (@kensingtonpalace)... And, yes, the amount of content featuring the Fab Four was a bit overwhelming, to say the least.

So, now, with the breaking news that the Queen has given her stamp of approval to let Meghan Markle and Prince Harry forge their own path by separating offices (and homes) from William and Kate Middleton, we may be in for a big change.

According to the latest announcement, Markle and Harry will soon move out of Kensington Palace (which they shared with Kate and Will) and into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. They'll get their own staff, and they'll have their own offices in Buckingham Palace (instead of their joint office in KP).

They'll get their own communications team, which will report directly to the Queen's communications director, and all this in order to prep for Prince William one day being king.

In addition, Harry and Markle will most likely get their own Instagram and Twitter accounts, seeing as they are no longer operating (nor living) under the Kensington Palace roof.

And it seems it's already begun. The @frogmorecottage Instagram account's first post is of the split's announcement, plus a few gorgeous (and very official-looking) pictures of Meghan and Harry.

While the announcement of the social media channels isn't "palace official," you should probably follow the @FrogmoreCottage accounts stat.

And fingers crossed for all the Baby Sussex updates (Hey, a girl can dream).
