• How to pop a pimple yourself, according to Dr. Pimple Popper's tips Insider producer Celia Skvaril video chatted with Dr. Sanda Lee, aka Dr. Pimple Popper, to get her professional advice on how to pop a pimple at home. While Lee doesn't recommend that people pop their own pimples, pimple popping is a habit that many struggle to quit. With much of the world staying at home, people aren't seeing their dermatologists and estheticians regularly and may be fighting a higher-than-usual urge to pick at their skin. Lee offered her tips on how to best minimize the risk of scarring and further infection when popping your own pimples, like attempting to pop only superficial whiteheads and properly sterilizing the pimple and tools both before and after popping. The family of Don Baker Sr., the beloved owner of The Candy House in The Woodlands, says he has died at the age of 89.

Baker owned the house for more than three decades.

According to The Candy House's Facebook page, Baker died on Jan. 2, 2021. A cause of death was not mentioned.

He was a cancer survivor and and veteran, serving in the Navy from 1951-1954 during the Korean conflict.

Last November, ABC13 introduced viewers to Baker as he was trying to raise money to save his candy shop, which had been impacted by the pandemic.

You can watch that previous story from 2020 above in the video player.

At the time, nearly $40,000 had been raised to help save the candy store, located at 27160 Glen Loch Dr.

Baker is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara, his children Donald Baker Jr. and Heather Whitman, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

No services have been announced, but a celebration of life is expected to take place in the future.

The family said Baker was a loving husband, father, grandfather and respected businessman.

The family is asking for privacy at this time.
