Fashion Month entered its grand finale stage in the French capital, Paris. The shows kicked off with the crème de la crème of legendary fashion houses such as Dior, Saint Laurent, and Dries Van Noten alongside rising labels like DIDU and Maitrepierre. And by the week’s end, Stella McCartney, Chanel, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, and more joined them in showing next seasons collections. Naturally, fashion girls have so far made the street style for Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 as enticing as the shows themselves, parading the sidewalks in new-fashioned finest.

Bomber jackets, corsetry, statement footwear, and school uniform-inspired pieces made for major outfit inspiration. For color, neutrals were popular and showed up in rich, gray tweed fabrics and crisp white cottons (with many having made the most of the button-down shirt). And while some leaned into classic Parisian style by reaching for blazers, berets and LBDs, others turned this on its head by channeling trends like the trench dress and futuristic accessories — spawned by the likes of Maria Grazia Chiuri, Isabel Marant, and Olivier Rousteing — for fall.

Without further ado, here are the best street style looks from PFW to inspire your next outfit for this fall/winter.

TZR’s Editor-in-Chief Kathy Lee and Tiffany Reid, senior vice president of fashion at BDG Media, headed to the last day of PFW shows in their respective skirt and jacket ensembles. Lee mixed a zippered, black leather pencil skirt with a Chanel tweed topper, while Reid matched a Chanel navy tweed skirt to its jacket.

Everyone loves a good pair of rain boots, but you can take things to the next level with an over-the-knee style, as this guest did to attend the Chanel show on Oct. 4.

Influencer Alyssa Coscarelli paid homage to Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter collection to attend the label’s show in Paris.

Model Kiwi Lee wore a fashion-forward denim set to attend the Miu Miu show as well.

The sheer dress trend is still going strong. But, instead of baring it all, this street styler balanced her look with a heavily embellished leather jacket and western boots.

Meanwhile, influencer Aimee Song wore a spangled pink sheer dress to attend the Miu Miu show.

Fashion Week regular Tamu McPherson wore her preppy plaid outfit with the season’s re-emerging shoe styles: ballet slippers.

Influencer Yoyo Cao wore a flowing dress and turtleneck combo to view the Louis Vuitton show.

Simple can be so good. Here, a guest let her billowing, metallic top shine. She teamed it with loose black trousers and a Petite Malle bag.

Model TyLynn Nguyen wore a preppy minidress to the Louis Vuitton show. She matched her lipstick to her crimson sleeve cuffs and carried the label’s Coussin bag in red.

Day 7

To attend the Thom Browne show on Oct. 3, Lee wore uniform-inspired skirt suit, a trench coat, and a leather beret. For a handbag, she carried the designer’s pooch-shaped Hector bag in black leather.

Mytheresa’s Fashion Buying Director Tiffany Hsu played with the proportions in her monochrome gray outfit by pairing baggy sweatpants with a corset top and long, structured coat.

This street styler made a coordinated set out of her black washed jeans and denim jacket.

McMullen Boutique founder Sherri McMullen homed in on earth tones to attend the shows of the day.

Fashion guru Julie Pelipas was sporty on top and business on the bottom in a cropped bomber with low-slung trousers and pumps.

Model Kozue Akimoto gave off major school girl vibes in a plaid skirt, blazer, and overcoat. She accessorized her white button-down shirt with a black tie and her glossy pumps with knee-high socks.

Novelty knit outfits were widespread at PFW. Here, a showgoer wore a crochet sweater over a cheetah-print tunic.

Fashion blogger Caroline Daur’s look for the Thom Browne show put a spotlight on stripes. The frayed edges on her suit and her slicked-back hair added a cool-girl vibe to the otherwise preppy look.

Fashion illustrator Jenny Walton attended the Lanvin show in a prim and rosy tiered dress. She made it fall-appropriate with knee-high boots and a curved handbag, both in black leather.

Vanessa Hong upped the ante on co-ord denim sets by reaching for one in a bold and colorful motif. She rounded out the look with towering platform sandals and retro, orange-tinted glasses.

On Oct. 2, model Karlie Kloss attended the Givenchy Spring/Summer 2023 show in a black bodycon mini dress and black satin blazer outfit.

For the same show, Chriselle Lim wore a brown maxi wrap skirt and a black turtleneck top. She matched her bomber jacket from Givenchy’s Fall/Winter 2022 line to her skirt and her black accessories to her top.

Vanessa Hong embraced groovy printed pants and a furry-trim leather jacket look.

Nguyen went super simple in a pair of dark blue jeans, a white blouse, and a black blazer. She then wore fall’s trendiest shoes: Givenchy’s Shark Lock knee-high boots in black leather.

The guest’s look was a melange of prints: a polka dot headscarf, a colorful striped skirt, and cheetah-print clutch.

Actor Madelaine Petsch attended the Givenchy show in a brown mini dress from the label’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection. She wore it over a turtleneck glove top in a black, leather-like finish (also from the fall line) and finished it with coordinated black leather accessories, including the label’s Shark Lock boots.

This street style star looked so relaxed in a blue tracksuit, mossy green sneakers, and a classic trench coat — the perfect casual Sunday outfit.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Here, a Fashion Week guest wore a neutral Givenchy blazer and trousers look while carrying a handbag in a similar hue. The palette allowed her carmel-colored Shark Lock boots to really stand out.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Model Jasmine Tookes looked so lady-like in a light blue skirt suit at the Givenchy show.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

An all-black look is such an easy way to hop on the monochrome dressing bandwagon. Use Caroline Issa’s formula as a reference: a baggy black trousers with a top, a long cardigan, and glossy pointed-toe heels in the same color.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

The boot pants trend was still going strong at PFW. Here, a guest looked so sleek in a black pair with a bright red bomber jacket.

Day 5

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Reid bundled up for the weather in Paris with a graphic floral motif gray coat and black ensemble.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This showgoer took the maximalist fashion trend to heart with colorful check print pieces and Simon Miller clogs.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

The Cut’s Editor-in-Chief Lindsay Peoples and Fashion Director Jessica Willis stuck to the classics for PFW such as a button-down shirt, trousers, blazer, and a sweater.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Hsu went for a matchy-matchy vibe throughout her ensemble. Take note of how her lipstick matched her coat while her dress coordinated back to her heels.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

At PFW, anything goes and influencer Cao took full advantage of that in this extra dramatic outfit.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

A skirt-over-pants look isn’t just a Spring/Summer 2023 runway trend, the combo was present in street style looks as well.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

When shopping for fall wardrobe pieces, never discount the importance of designs such as the unexpected cut in a skirt or the colors and the curvaceous heel shape of an ankle boot. They can make a “simple” look stand out.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This showgoer proved a beret can feel purposeful and not cheesy in Paris as she styled it with a playful Bugs Bunny sweater and shorts in the most nonchalant manner.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

If there’s one wardrobe staple you saw everywhere at PFW, it was the button-down shirt. Here, this individual styled it underneath a smart vest.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This Fashion Week attendee proved you can wear two equally as bold colors together without them overwhelming your outfit. Give the orange and minty green combo a try.

Day 4

© Provided by The Zoe Report

The perfect fall attire combo: a cropped leather jacket styled with a bodysuit and a denim maxi skirt, preferably one that drags slightly on the ground.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Sometimes, all you need is a statement shoe, like these metallic bow heels from Loewe, to add drama to your otherwise neutral, minimalist outfit.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Paris Fashion Week showgoers love Loewe pieces, especially this attendee who styled her oversized knit sweater from the label with shearling boots and last winter’s hottest accessory: the balaclava.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Influencer Aimee Song opted for the same Loewe sweater but in a different shade. The softer purple of her top perfectly complemented her eggplant-colored cropped pants and her Mach & Mach heels.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

McPherson kept it buttoned up and polished in a tweed jacket, animal print skirt, and over-the-knee boots — the season’s hottest shoe.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

When in doubt of what to wear, always go for a matching set.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This guest leaned into Loewe’s intriguing designs for PFW, from the hand motif top to its balloon shoes.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Here’s another sign you should embrace orange outfits in your life, as this micro street style fashion trend was everywhere this month.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

When you’re tired of wearing all-black outfits, opt for a teddy bear brown ensemble.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This Fashion Week guest tapped into a popular autumn color like marigold in her street style outfit.

Day 3

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Reid went for a mostly monochrome look that better underscored the details, such as the neon-green embroidery on her knee-length skirt and the playful fringe on her blazer.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Influencer and entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni attended the Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2023 show in a black and gold-clad look from the French fashion house.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

The easiest way to look put together? Dress in one color, as this elegant street styler did, here.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

White sunglasses were big on Day 3 of Paris Fashion Week.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This guest balanced out her printed maxi dress with a black leather jacket and coordinated black accessories.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This look was reminiscent of the late Emanuel Ungaro’s collections from the early aughts. (However, the shoes are clearly Dior.)

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Here, a showgoer created texture and depth with a frilly, multicolor skirt and a black blazer/ bralette combo. The denim-inspired ankle boot made a statement, too. For those wondering, they’re from Loewe.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Another guest at Schiaparelli payed homage to the brand in a zingy combination of pieces from the fashion house.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Ecru isn’t seasonal, especially when the delicate color is mixed with dark-hued accents in, say, a pair of tough cowboy boots.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Meanwhile, some guests continued to lean into cozy knit toppers with neutral bottoms.

Day 2

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Fashion writer and influencer Camille Charrière coordinated her multicolor race car jacket with a white slip skirt, black knee-high boots, and a silver shoulder bag.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This street styler piled on neutral-hued pieces and finished her look with practical, white sneakers.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

It makes sense that people are embracing black leather boots given their inherently versatile nature. However, this Fashion Week guest took things to the next level by matching them to a pair of black leather pants. Bonus points, too, for coordinating her phone case with her tank top.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

A knitted cardigan, as shown here, is the ultimate fall weather staple.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This showgoer seemed to channel Princess Diana in an off-white jumpsuit, a gray blazer, and camel-colored accessories.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

If race car and moto jackets aren’t up your alley, what about a bomber jacket, as shown on the guest above.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

These yellow sunglasses from Loewe showed up on the scene at least twice on Day 2.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This guest’s colorful outfit complemented the floral backdrops on the streets of Paris.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

In this instance, not only is it clear that white jeans can be worn fashionably in fall, but that they look great with dark colors and heavy leather, too.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Here, a street styler enhanced the bold look of her chunky Loewe sunglasses with a monogrammed jean jacket, an asymmetrical skirt, and a pair of split-toe sandals.

Day 1

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Reid went for a modern ’70s look while attending shows, complete with a draped blouse, a knee-length button-down denim skirt, and platform pumps.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Beauty entrepreneur Nina Urgell Cloquell went for a classic school uniform style, but made it modern with a pair of Dior Ground Ankle Boots and a Dior-stamped clutch in similar neutral hues.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Sometimes, it’s best to let your accessories speak loud and clear without interference. In this look, for instance, the showgoer’s black shirtdress is a canvas for her mostly frilly but also tech-inspired Dior accessories.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Designers from Dior to Balmain cued the corsetry for Fall/Winter 2022, and now it’s infiltrated so much of the season’s fashions. Cao’s super-cinched trench look is but one unexpected moment where the undergarment shined.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Another is here, when this Fashion Week attendee reached for a lingerie-inspired dress with a corset-like bodice.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

This guest gave off major school girl vibes in a khaki mini dress and short-sleeve white button-down shirt. She offset the primness with chunky, knee-high leather boots, laces that she tied over her thighs, and a varsity-style handbag by Christian Dior.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

There’s something to be said about keeping things simple: a shirt, a sweater, tailored pants, and a blazer is a failsafe formula.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Those who did play with prints and colors did so in a big way. Just take this yellow plaid maxi skirt look as an example.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Add interest to neutral look with a bright-hued handbag, as this sleek street styler did.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Mixing bold prints is still in. Take a page from editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson’s patchwork printed skirt and funky cardigan.

© Provided by The Zoe Report

Akimoto flaunted the skort version of the classic, black-and-white plaid bottoms and elevated them with Dior boots and a mini bag (also from the label).
