The Enterprise Rotary Club is gearing up for their annual 10-K Give-Away fundraiser. but this year’s event has a new twist to it.

“We’re still having the fundraiser in person, but we are letting people that actually buy tickets can actually watch it on our YouTube channel to keep them socially distance,” said Enterprise Rotary Service Project Chair Steve Nagy.

This fundraiser is the rotary clubs biggest, raising around $20,000 for organizations that benefit the Coffee County community.

“We’ve probably given in those 33 years probably half $1 million back to different 501c3 agencies and they apply to us and we will accept their applications and then we review all of them,” said Enterprise Rotary Treasurer Mary Sue Cain.

Local organizations like the Christian Mission, Coffee County Family Services and Coffee County 4-H to name a few.

“We have typically about 15 to 16 charities that we locally give to and we spread that money out to help them,” Nagy added.

After so many decades of giving, calling it quits was not an option.

“It’s very heartwarming for us to know that we’ve helped some of these agencies and we are a service club our motto, Rotary international, is service above self so we believe that’s our duty to give back to the community,” Cain finished.

The 10-K Give-Away fundraiser will be on Thursday, November 12th.
