It's been well documented at this point that Harry Styles is not only one of the most stylish guys out there, he's not afraid to take a risk-and pull it off effortlessly. From printed suits on stage to dripping in Gucci for the brand's recent ad campaigns, the former One Direction frontman exudes confidence every time he steps out.

Though I never thought about it until I came upon a Twitter thread this morning, one could say the same thing about Monica Geller-one of Friends' fab six, and perhaps its most stylish. Monica, the least insufferable of the Geller kids, was known to rock an oversized sweatshirt in a manner that would set our sleaze alarms off, but never was it considered that the normcore of it all could translate to a rock god like Styles. That becomes abundantly clear in this thread, which not only flexes some of Styles' most sought-out looks, but also paints Geller as a menswear icon ahead of her time. It's no secret that '90s fashion has had one hell of a renaissance in at least the past half-decade, and so Monica's style has been sitting right there in front of us all this time. Thankfully, Twitter user @neonloose was able to peg it to one of the most stylish celebrities out there right now.

To the thread!

The proof, my friends, is in the pudding. Or the argyle. Or, I don't know, just in the thread. Nevertheless, my style inspiration moving forward is Harry Styles as Monica Geller. And I'm glad, because summer is on its way and Joey Tribbiani as Balenciaga just doesn't breathe well enough.
