This time of social distancing is the perfect opportunity to dust off a few skills, and to perfect some simple tasks that make life easier. Learn a life hack, or just a better way of doing the day-to-day.

Brent Smith of Shinedown packs a lot of suitcases on the road, making his way across the country on tour, but in the latest edition of "Home Schooled" he's getting reacquainted with the proper way to fold his laundry, and he's passing the knowledge onto us.

Drummer Barry Kerch grew up in a military family, and taught Brent and the band the best way to make the most out of your space when packing. "Yes, he taught me this a while ago, but I hadn't put it into effect until here recently," Smith explains.

Brent showcases how he usually folds his laundry, and the genius update that Kerch dropped on him and Shinedown.

"Mr. Kerch though, taught me a trick," he smiles. "Still do the fold, fold it one time over, but then what you do is, you roll it up like a burrito," he laughs.

"You can pack way more stuff. I've had to relearn that. And now I have a giant suitcase, but all my clothes are in one section of it, so I gotta fill the other side of it up now," he grins.

It has actually given him a new mission after quarantine is over. "The first thing that I'm probably going to do, is go buy a bunch of clothes so that I can pack of my suitcase."
