A fun and interactive fundraiser to help shelter pets is now open for registration for its second annual event.

The Nevada SPCA’s 2nd Annual Neon Dog Walk will take place Saturday, October 22, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at Sunset Park.

Participants and their dogs are encouraged to wear glow-in-the-dark accessories to light the trail, where they will walk around the Dunes Loop at Sunset Park.

Following the walk, participants and community members are invited to the Neon Village, where they can enjoy live music, food trucks, many local pet-friendly vendors, contests and prizes, and a beer garden presented by Bad Beat Brewing.

The Neon Village is located in the grass area adjacent to the trail.

“We are so excited to return for our second year and truly make this a fun annual tradition for families and their dogs in Las Vegas. We’re growing this event and hope to make it bigger and better each year,” said Lori Heeren, Nevada SPCA Executive Director.

“As a local, independent non-profit, no-kill shelter, everything that we do to support homeless pets is made possible thanks to the generous support of our community.”

Registration is $45 per person (children 12 and under are free, strollers are welcome).

Registrants must pick up their event T-shirt and wag bag at the Nevada SPCA shelter located at 5375 S. Procyon St. #108 between Friday, October 14, and Friday, October 21, during regular shelter business hours.
