Alexandria Pet Of The Week: Help Nemo Find A New Home
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Summer is coming, and perhaps you are looking for a companion to stroll around Alexandria with.
Patch regularly features pets from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, which runs the city's animal shelter. One of the adoptable pets is Nemo. This Nemo may not be a fish, but he's still looking for a family and new home.
Here's more information from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria:
Nemo, 20-Month-Old Male German Shepherd/Chow Chow Mix
Nemo is ready to find a family of his own! This charming youngster is the perfect mix of handsome and sweet. While he can be shy at first, which may be due to some visual limitations, once he gets to know you, expect a best friend for life. Nemo's adoring gaze at his buddies is one of his best features! Nemo's hobbies include LONG walks - the longer, the better - sniffing, rolling in the grass and treats. He's already learned how to Sit using clicker training, and he thinks he could be up for some additional tricks as well. Nemo's looking for a family of adults or older children to give him the patience, time and routine he needs to show off his best doggy self.
