With National Fragrance Day on March 21st, there’s no better time to celebrate all things aromatic. When shopping for a new signature scent though, remember: fragrances are personal. They’re an extension of your mood and personality. They evoke memories and help create new ones. Whether you prefer floral fragrances or woody ones, we’ve found several you (and maybe your beau – many of them are unisex!) are going to want to spritz on every day.

Scroll on for ten fragrances that could easily become your new signature scent.

1. A bergamot-based fragrance that’ll be your forever favorite

D.S. & Durga is the master of nailing oddly specific scents – you have to get a whiff of their Portable Fireplace candle – but our favorite perfume of theirs is Debaser. With top notes of bergamot, green leaf, and pear stem, it’s “built on memories of August humidity, music, and young romance.” The middle notes include fig, coconut milk, and iris, and base notes include blond woods, tonka bean, and moss.

Get D.S. & Durga’s Debaser from Nordstrom starting at $175

2. A luxe scent with an affordable price tag

To celebrate World Fragrance Day without dropping serious money, opt for one of the Gourmand scents from Urban Outfitters. With this price tag (and chic bottle!), you may want to experiment with a variety of their scents like Paradis Tropique, Noir Distillé, or Miel Bébé. The Fleur de Blonde fragrance is a slightly woodsy blend of ambrette, violet, and cashmere musk.

3. A fresh, floral, and oh-so-pretty fragrance

Parisian fragrance house Diptyque is iconic for its timeless scents, whether in perfume, candle, or room spray form. Their Do Son Eau de Toilette is a classic – fresh and floral, but far from delicate. With keynotes of tuberose, orange blossom, jasmine, and marine accord, it could quickly become your new go-to. Plus, with a bottle so beautiful, you’ll want to show it off on your dresser.

4. A woody scent to welcome spring

We don’t know how Le Labo captured the distinct smell of the air after heavy rain on dry land, but they did. Baie 19, with top notes of dry juniper berry, patchouli, and green leaves, captures the scent of plants soaking in their first rain after a dry period. It’s crisp and woody, and will likely inspire everyone around you to ask what perfume you’re wearing.

5. A refreshing citrus fragrance

No.12 Bousval Eau de Parfum is one of Maison Louis Marie’s newer scents and is bound to be your new signature. The unisex fragrance is citrusy, woody, and something you’ll reach for every day. The keynotes include Italian bergamot, white ginger, and cedar noir, with notes of Valencia oranges and bold white cardamom.

6. A youthful fragrance for when you’re feeling extra flirty

With top notes of vanilla, black currant, pomegranate, ylang-ylang, and watermelon, this SORBETTO scent is sweet and playful. The rollerball makes application extra easy too. Plus, not only is its price appealing, but it’s also all-natural and created with eco-conscious and ethically-sourced ingredients.

7. A warm, spicy scent you can wear for any occasion

You’ll be reaching for a spritz of Ellis Brooklyn’s MYTH Eau de Parfum no matter the season and no matter the occasion. It’s clean and fresh, yet the woodsy notes give it a musky sense of mystery. Top notes include jasmine petals, ambrette seed, pink lotus, and tiger orchid with bergamot and white cedarwood. Best of all, Ellis Brooklyn is committed to only using sustainable, vegan, and safe ingredients.

8. A scent that captures Sunday mornings in a bottle

The perfect blend of floral and woody, Lazy Sunday Morning by Maison Margiela is a unisex scent anyone and everyone would love. Keynotes include lily of the valley, rose, iris, and white musk. It reminds us of fresh linens on a spring day, so it truly is a Sunday morning in scent form.

9. A sexy scent for both you and your beau

Any of Madewell’s best-selling fragrances are winners, but Beau stands out for its laid-back vibe. It’s sexy, smooth, and a fit for both you and your beau (hence the name). It combines palo santo with coconut, white flowers, leather, and cedar for a sexy and smooth scent.

10. A powerhouse of a scent that stands out in a crowd

Boy Smells doesn’t create scents (whether for their candles or fragrances) that are meek or delicate – the opposite, actually. Suede Pony is a moody, sophisticated blend that’s a true standout. The bold blend features notes of brushed leather, hazelnut, and violet.
