Warby Parker’s new Metal Edit is a minimalist’s dream eyewear collection. Made of mixed materials such as acetate and metal, each piece offers a streamlined silhouette that’s adaptable and complementary to the face. The eyewear brand introduced the new collection on the Warby Parker website on June 22, debuting a bevy of lightweight metal frames, many of which feature the brand’s once-limited edition Epigraph accents — a notable custom metal detail that sits at the top corners of the frames and wraps at the hinge.*

As a pioneer disruptor of the once wildly expensive eyewear industry, Warby Parker creates affordable eyeglasses using high-quality materials and hip designs. Every one of their frames is designed, hand-assembled, polished and inspected in-house, giving you a premium product that not only looks great but will also last for years. Warby Parker sends customers a variety of frames to try on at home, and the company has inspired countless copycats in the eyewear market. (We’re not mad about that, as now there are tons of places to buy cheap glasses online.)

Warby Parker is actually releasing a bunch of new styles for Summer 2021. Previously, on June 8, the brand launched the Sun Standards collection, which featured 22 new styles of affordable sunglasses.

Available now for purchase online and at select Warby Parker stores, the Metal Edit eyeglasses start at a retail price of $145. Check out a few of our favorite frames from the new metal eyewear collection below. Blue light lenses can also be added to any style of frames.

The Wallis frames are made from stainless steel and cellulose acetate, featuring adjustable nose pads for a comfortable fit. The square lenses are suitable for all face shapes, particularly complementing wider profiles. Made with impact-resistant, polycarbonate lenses, they effectively block UVA and UVB rays for full eye protection and feature coating that is anti-scratch, and anti-reflective.

Thin and lightweight, these frames are made of stainless steel and custom cellulose acetate for comfortable all-day wear. Offered in gold, silver, and brushed ink, these glasses feature rounded polycarbonate lenses that block harmful UVA and UVB rays topped off with an anti-scratch coating for added durability.

Alston Epigraph

The Alton eyeglasses deliver a sleek acetate frame adorned with hand-polished wraparound hinges. Durable and stylish, they come in an offering of cognac tortoise, champagne, and poblano with polished gold accents. Although bold in design, the Alton is lightweight, classic, and comfortable enough for daily wear.

This hybrid round-square frame is the perfect balance in eyewear. As with all of the glasses in this piece, they are made from hand-polished cellulose acetate and stainless steel that’s durable and lightweight. This pair features the wraparound Epigraph hinges in polished gold metal.
