Great-Aunt Of ‘Baby James’ Chairez Claims The Child’s Mother Said She’d Placed Him For Adoption

Mariesol believes the last time her 18-month-old great-nephew, James, was seen with his mother, D’Lanny Chairez, was January 4, 2021, on a surveillance video at a local pharmacy in San Antonio, Texas. Mariesol claims that her niece had been giving her a string of excuses as to why she couldn’t see James. Then, claims Mariesol, when she pressed D’Lanny for answers, D’Lanny told her that she had placed the child for adoption. “I was devastated,” says Mariesol, noting that she didn’t believe her niece. Mariesol says after D’Lanny went missing too, she filed a report with the local authorities, then decided to search D’Lanny’s trailer. What does she say she found there? Update: On April 28, 2021, authorities in San Antonio, Texas, reportedly recovered human remains inside the trailer park where James Avi Chairez lived with his mother, D’Lanny Chairez. According to news reports, the family has confirmed the remains are those of “Baby James.” D’Lanny Chairez, 20, was arrested in March on suspicion of abandoning or endangering a child and indicted earlier in April by a grand jury on charges of tampering with evidence.
