New York Firefighters Run With French Flags In Tribute to Note Dame Crews

New York probationary firefighters carried both US and French flags on April 17 during their final “Spirit Run” before graduating, paying tribute to the firefighters who battled the blaze at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris two days earlier. The Fire Department of New York said the firefighters were carrying the French flags “as a show of solidarity and support for Pompiers Paris, who deployed 400 firefighters to bravely battle the fire at Notre Dame earlier this week.” Credit: FDNY via Storyful
