Toronto Celebrations Audible From High Rises After Historic Raptors Win

A historic win for the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, May 25, saw the team heading to the NBA Finals for the first time, and left the streets of Toronto filled with euphoric fans celebrating the victory. The Raptors defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 100-94 in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference finals at Scotiabank Arena in downtown Toronto, Global News reported. Even Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was excited. “History made! @Raptors, it’s time to bring that championship to Canada! #WeTheNorth,” he tweeted. In this video, shot from the 75th floor of an apartment building, honking and cheering can be heard from the streets below. Others on social media said the atmosphere in the city was wild. “It’s been half an hour and the city has gotten louder and the cars are out now honking. Love this city. This is CRAZZZZYYY!!!” Elena Juatco tweeted. “Traffic at a standstill in downtown Toronto. People are going bananas.
