Toronto Streets Filled With Roaring Fans After Raptors Win Sends Team to NBA Finals

The Toronto Raptors won Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference on Saturday, May 25, sending the city into pandemonium as fans celebrated the historic win, which saw the team heading to the NBA Finals for the first time. The Raptors defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 100-94 at Scotiabank Arena in downtown Toronto, Global News reported. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joined the fray, tweeting “History made! @Raptors, it’s time to bring that championship to Canada! #WeTheNorth.” This video shows the street outside Scotiabank Arena packed with roaring fans. Others on social media said the atmosphere in the city was wild. “It’s been half an hour and the city has gotten louder and the cars are out now honking. Love this city. This is CRAZZZZYYY!!!” Elena Juatco tweeted. “Traffic at a standstill in downtown Toronto. People are going bananas.
