NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A real estate investment tracking company's analysis of salary data finds Nashville is #1 among the nation's largest metro areas for high-paying job growth.

Stessa, a rental tracking company based out of California, examined the percentage change in employment in six-figure jobs from 2015 to 2020 by using U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data. They found cities with low costs, strong labor supply, and top universities were responsible for boosting the number of high-salaried positions in places like Nashville and Phoenix, Arizona.

Among the nation's largest metros, the Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin area ranked #1 for the largest growth in six-figure jobs from 2015-2020 with a 270.9% increase. The number of six-figure jobs in 2015 was 14,510 compared to 53,820 in 2020. According to the report, the total represents 5.6% of all employment in the area taking in six-figures.
