A Boston-based accounting advisory firm is expanding its Dallas operation with a new downtown office.

CFGI LLC has been operating from temporary office space in Dallas’ Victory Park. Now the accounting firm has leased more than 4,600 square feet of offices in the Santander Tower on Elm Street.

CFGI has been in business since 2000 and is backed by investor Carlyle Group. The firm opened its Dallas operation in 2019.

CFGI now has 650 professionals and says it’s the country’s largest non-audit accounting firm. The company also has offices in New York; Philadelphia; San Francisco; Charlotte, N.C.; Stamford, Conn.; San Diego; Houston; Austin; and Washington, D.C.

Grant Pruitt, Brendan Zrowka and Lauren Pesqueda of Whitebox Real Estate negotiated the downtown Dallas lease with Sara Terry of Colliers International.

CFGI is the latest company to head downtown for new offices.

Lerma Advertising just leased almost 28,000 square feet of space in the new Luminary building on Houston Street at Ross Avenue.

Marketing firm Imaginuity recently leased space in the One Main Place tower on Main Street. Integrity Marketing Group, a large independent insurance provider, moved its headquarters from the suburbs to Fountain Place on Ross Avenue.
