As an incentive to encourage friends to get vaccinated, Chipotle Mexican Grill locations nationwide are offering BOGO entrees from 3 p.m. till closing time July 6.

But customers are on the honor system. You need only say “Friends BOGO” to receive your free menu item.

“As a proud participant in the National Month of Action for Vaccinations, we are encouraging our fans to give their friends free Chipotle as a craveable reward for getting vaccinated,” Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer, said in a statement.

The buy one, get one promotion applies to in-restaurant orders only; no online or app orders will be accepted. Each customer can get up to two free BOGO items per transaction when ordering two items. Guacamole and queso blanco are extra.

Most Bay Area Chipotle locations are open until 10 tonight.

From now through July 14, Chipotle customers also are encouraged to round up their order total to the nearest dollar to support Folds of Change, which funds college scholarships for families of America’s fallen and disabled service-members.
