Bitcoin Trader Calls Cryptocurrency An ‘Antidote’ To Inequality And Corruption In Global Financial System
Cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that can be bought, sold, mined, and traded without the authority or backing of a government or bank. Larissa is a Bitcoin trader who claims cryptocurrency creates opportunities for people who have never had them before. “Cryptocurrency isn’t a fad,” she insists. “It’s something that is changing the world by decentralizing finance.” And while Larissa says she doesn’t believe that cryptocurrency will replace traditional money in her lifetime, she does say she thinks it has the potential to become the world’s reserve currency and that it’s an “antidote” to inequality and corruption in the global financial system. “When people dismiss it as a scam, I find it hilarious because it shows that they know nothing about it,” she says. Why does Larissa say that cryptocurrency has taken over her personal life and she wouldn’t have it any other way? This episode of Dr. Phil, “Cryptocurrency: Scam or Not?” airs Tuesday.
