Germany Weighs Big Wind, Solar Increase

Sep.20 -- When does clean energy become cheap energy? Over the past 5 years, renewable energy has shifted from being the most cost-effective form in the majority of G-10 countries. Germany was at the leading edge of this chain, but is now pushing for a multi-billion euro investment package to cut carbon emissions. Negotiators in the “climate cabinet” have been holding talks through the night here, so far they haven’t clinched a deal so far that we know of. Victoria Leggett, head of impact investing and co-manager of positive equity impact fund at Union Bancaire Privee weighs in on the talks. She speaks on “Bloomberg Markets: European Open.”
