Home Depot, 3M share losses contribute to Dow's 167-point fall

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Thursday afternoon with shares of Home Depot and 3M seeing the biggest declines for the price-weighted average. The Dow was most recently trading 167 points lower (-0.5%), as shares of Home Depot and 3M are contributing to the blue-chip gauge's intraday decline. Home Depot's shares have declined $11.69, or 3.6%, while those of 3M have declined $3.91, or 3.2%, combining for a roughly 103-point drag on the Dow. Caterpillar American Express and Procter & Gamble are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.59-point swing.
