Dimon Should Explain JPM Backing Doomed ESL: O'Neill

Apr.22 -- JPMorgan Chase & Co. CEO Jamie Dimon needs to explain how the bank became involved in European soccer's "Super League" plan, according to Chatham House chair and former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. banker Jim O'Neill. JPMorgan agreed to back the seemingly doomed breakaway league to the tune of 4 billion euros ($4.8 billion). "How on earth did such an experienced CEO that is so good at connecting with the real world, how on earth did they let themselves let this proposal get to where it got?" O'Neill, a former Manchester United non-executive director, said on Bloomberg Television.
