Samsung Shows off Galaxy S10 Lineup, S10 5G and New Galaxy Fold

Samsung is fighting smartphone saturation with its latest lineup of Galaxy phones. At an event in San Francisco, Samsung introduced its newest Galaxy S10, a similarly-sized but more powerful version of the prior model, the S9. Much of the improvements are in terms of battery life, speed and number of cameras -- plus, the ability to charge a number of Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Buds, on top of your phone. The Galaxy S10E starts at $749.99, the regular Galaxy S10 starts at $899.99, and the S10 Plus starts at $999.99. The Evolution of the Smartphone, From IBM's Simon to Samsung's Galaxy Fold There's also a 5G-enabled Galaxy S10, called the S10 5G, Samsung's first phone that works with the next-gen cellular network. Pricing hasn't been announced for that model yet. But the real showstopper was the Galaxy Fold, the folding smartphone that Samsung has been teasing for months. It's a compact smartphone with a display of about 4.6 inches, but unfolds into an tablet with an Infinity Flex display, three-app multitasking, a whopping six cameras and two batteries. It'll cost you, though: The Galaxy fold starts at $1980 and up, and will come in 5G and LTE versions.
