She’s got time on her hands since announcing her seeming retirement from acting in May.

And Cameron Diaz out those extra hours to good use by enjoying a night out with husband Benji Madden in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.

The star, 46, looked relaxed in a black turtle neck and fitted jeans following a dinner date with the Good Charlotte guitarist at local Italian restaurant Il Piccolino.

Cameron added to her look with a pair of on-trend leather ankle boots, while a stylish black winter coat was draped across her shoulders as the couple made their exit from the West Hollywood eatery.

Joining his wife, musician Benji, 39, was equally casual in a black sweater and matching jeans teamed with monochrome Vans trainers.

Completing his look with a black baseball cap, the star led the way as they made their way onto the sidewalk, where they chatted with two friends before making their way home.

Cameron confirmed her retirement from acting in March, four years after making her last film appearance in a critically savaged remake of the otherwise hugely popular Annie.

Reuniting with The Sweetest Thing co-star Christina Applegate and Selma Blair for an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cameron made in the admission while the trio discussed potentially meeting up with one another in a social context.

'I’m totally down,' she said. 'I’m semi-retired, too, and I am actually retired, so I would love to see you ladies.'

Cameron had previously hinted at the decision to turn her back on film during her appearance at the Goop Summit in 2017.

I felt the need to make myself whole.'

However, there is a potential new project that may be enough to tempt Cameron back into the movie business.

One of her most famous roles is as the voice of Princess Fiona in the Shrek franchise, which is getting a reboot courtesy of Despicable Me producer Chris Meledandri.
