Gold Derby Logo By Paul Sheehan of Gold Derby | Slide 1 of 24: Check out our exclusive Oscar winners predictions by scrolling through this photo gallery to see what we think will win in all 23 categories at the 2021 Academy Awards on April 25. We’ve combined predictions from critics, our in-house team of journalists, the two dozen entrants with the best scores last year, the top 24 combined from the last couple of years, and thousands more fans. We are predicting that “Nomadland” will win four Oscars: Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay (Chloe Zhao), and Best Cinematography. We expect “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” to take home three Academy Awards: Best Actor (Chadwick Boseman), Best Costume Design and Best Makeup & Hairstyling. And four films will prevail in two races each: “Mank” will claim Best Cinematography and Best Production Design; “Promising Young Woman” will be awarded Best Actress (Carey Mulligan) and Best Original Screenplay (Emerald Fennell); “Soul” will scoop up Best Original Score and Best Animated Feature; and “Sound of Metal” will nab Best Film Editing and Best Sound.
