The crew for Guy Ritchie’s next crime drama is getting a bit bigger. Colin Farrell is set to join Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey in Toff Guys, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Farrell will be playing a character named Coach, who trains MMA fighters.

The movie is expected to be in the spirit of Ritchie’s early gangster films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, which explored the British underworld with a sharp tongue and gritty action. The new film will “center on a businessman who has built a weed empire and now wants out; the other characters are either complications or helpful to his scheme.”

McConaughey is set to star as the businessman, while Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) is in as a Vietnamese gangster. Hugh Grant is starring as a photographer who snaps scandalous photos of McConaughey’s character, and schemes to blackmail him. Michelle Dockery of Downton Abbey fame has also joined the cast, and will play McConaughey’s wife. Dockery is replacing Kate Beckinsale, who dropped out due to scheduling issues.

McConaughey is keeping up his streak of working on more dramatic films after appearing in White Boy Rick earlier in 2018. McConaughey spoke with Men’s Journal for his October 2018 cover story about how he’s reinventing his career again.

Filming on Toff Guys is likely to begin in England early in 2019.
